Audi Q5 starts production in India
In Audi decided to begin production of Q5 in India, there assembled cars will be destined to the local market.
This would be done in the factory of the Volkswagen Group in Aurangabad, which is already assembled and A4 and A6. Currently in the Indian factory Audi will make about 1500 copies of the Q5, but by 4-5 years that number should reach 6000 cars.
Audi In India offers apart from those models produced in the country, also A8, Q7, TT and R8.
In India, Audi is still a very popular brand, but in recent years the company's sales are growing quite rapidly - in 2008 only sold 732 cars in 2009 over 2400, and in that sales are expected to exceed 3500 cars with the brand Audi.
Member of the Board of Directors of Audi, Frank Dreves (Frank Dreves) said that early production of Q5 in India is part of the new long-term strategy for this market. According to the market in India are rapidly developing, and Q5 is the "right car at the right place in this market."
