Mazda Shinari - the Mazda with the wow factor
Mazda is on the verge of modernizing the formal language of his cars. A first concrete view on the future design then shows the concept car Shinari. The four-door, four-seat coupe takes the characteristics of next-generation Mazda model.
The body presents optimized in terms of aerodynamics with powerful but smooth lines. The metallic-blue-painted sports coupe is a track bigger than a current Mazda6 production vehicle and is quite bold in its beautiful aluminum rims. A little reminiscent of the Peugeot Concept Shinari to SR1, but is nevertheless completely independent.
"Shinari means" in Japanese as much as "powerful and flexible," said Mazda's chief designer Ikuo Maeda: "In design, we want to accurately capture that moment in which breaks loose movement - similar to a leopard, which stretches in front of the jump his body." Mazda is often poetic when it comes to new cars.
The dashboard is oriented towards the driver. The interior offers a mix of materials from aluminum and leather. The operating system with the three-dimensional information display in the center console is divided into three basic modes: Business telephone controls and on-line connection, Pleasure controls the audio and multimedia features in one true sport from chassis and engine characteristics.
Design is at Mazda in the family. Ikuo Maeda was already responsible for the styling of the Mazda RX-8. His father was Matasaburo Maeda, anno 1978, the creator of the Mazda RX-7.
