Police Interceptor Ford Explorer: It looks awfully fierce
It is wickedly surprising when one discovers in his rearview mirror, the muzzle of the new police vehicle, the Ford Police Interceptor Expler. Add bull bars (or pushes car), the lights, siren screaming and directional projector, it is enough to have heart attacks for some people!
The U.S. Police Explorer is powered by the 3.5 L V6 Ti-VCT 280 hp in a version associated with the BVA6. To make up the shifter left and center console joined the steering column of the large SUVs to make room for the embedded hardware and armaments.
We also discover new front seats that seem hardier but are strengthened and that have a flatter base to help the police s'extrairent faster vehicle.
Obviously this Interceptor Explorer loses its aesthetic attributes, chic and luxurious to the practical efficacy. Thus we see the disappearance of large aluminum wheels for the benefit of steel rims 18 inches, trim and inserts have been replaced with black plastic and what about the comfortable rear its location gives a kind of black leatherette seat for 2 or 3 evil ... These passengers, although separated by a steel bulkhead, police and blocked from behind by a grid have their own heating system ... adjustable front (useful for K9 unit according to Ford!) surely to bring offenders to the proper temperature before examination!
