Mark LaNeve, GM's top sales exec, leaving automaker; GM names new VP of U.S. sales

Mark LaNeve, GM's top sales exec, leaving automaker:
Mark LaNeve, vice president of U.S. sales, is leaving GM on Oct. 15 “to pursue another opportunity outside of the industry,” according to a message sent to dealers by GM CEO Fritz Henderson .



GM names new VP of U.S. sales:
The head of General Motors’ Buick-GMC brands will oversee the automaker’s U.S. sales, the company announced this evening.

Susan Docherty, 46, will succeed Mark LaNeve as vice president of U.S. sales. She will become a part of GM’s executive committee.
"Susan will bring a wealth of experience from previous marketing and sales assignments," GM CEO Fritz Henderson said in a statement. "I have confidence that she will bring a new perspective to the position as she guides a new, lean, and customer-focused dealer network."
