Toyota Recall
Toyota has issued another recall due to concerns about potentially defective gas pedals.
U.S. (WiredPRNews.com) – Toyota has issued another massive recall due to a potentially defective gas pedal. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the most recent safety recall is the second for the automaker due to safety concerns with the gas pedal. A previous recall was issued for 4.2 million vehicles last year.
As noted by the AP, Toyota announced plans to recall 2.3 million vehicles in the U.S. on Thursday. The recall comes after reports of crashes linked to pedals becoming stuck and causing vehicles to accelerate suddenly.
John Hanson, a spokesperson for Toyota, is quoted in the report as stating of working on a solution for the accelerator issue, “Responsibility for this in the end is ours.”
