Video-art: The 4x4 system FF Ferrari
Awesome. That's the adjective I can give clear that the new transmission released by the Ferrari FF. The AWD system, explained in a video after the jump, it lacks an axis of re-shipment to the front, although the gearbox is placed in position on the rear transaxle.
If you are wondering how the thing is tricky. The power for the front axle is taken directly from the crankshaft through a separate reduction gear, and a hydraulic pump that drives the mechanism tightens differential intelligent distribution. In this way the front wheels receive torque when required, coupling and uncoupling with the situation.
The idea is ingenious, but does not play well in the transfer of torque (at least in theory) as a provision full relay as the Nissan GT-R. In return, it is much lighter.

Live from Geneva: Ferrari FF, the star of the show 2011
Expected, the FF is the star of the show: this morning when the tarps were lifted there was a crowd very important around the Ferrari stand. The Prancing Horse which exposes three copies of the self accompanied the presentation of the music videos already dressed, air epic that showcases the Italian. It is also not the case with any color: red if it goes to rob, the white copy installed on the stand Pininfarina leaves a little perplexed. In short it will have to see this beast in its natural environment, namely on the roads, to realize truly the work of designers!

Finally a video to match the Ferrari FF Geneva 2011
How can we claim to find this FF after watching this new sequence official, showing the large new 2 +2 in settings as varied as the powder of the Pyrenean mountains, sand UAE or urban structures of Barcelona or rain of a small winding road?
How not to be impressed by the radical nature of this novelty, unique for its size, the personality of its lines and even in its technical form of revolution at Ferrari. Is it not those who leave a particular impression in the history of the Italian brand?

Fresh pictures of the Ferrari FF
Ferrari two weeks ago the world (half) surprised with the unveiling of the FF, their great, daring Gran Turismo, it is relatively calm in and around the car. Perhaps the petrol heads that they have the time to give the design to settle. But two weeks is long enough of course, and so has the brand with the prancing horse today published some new pictures.

More pictures of the Ferrari FF - including first interior photos
A miscreant has secretly at the Ferrari factory made some pictures of an old copy and the interior on film able to capture. Probably this is the car used in recent months for potential customers already acquainted with the car. That would also explain why the number plate F151 state, for that is because the internal code name of the FF.
The interior I would not call directly very exciting. Sooner rather predictable and perhaps a tad boring. (Source:here and here)
Under the bonnet is a 6.3 liter V12 with 660 hp and 683 Nm and power with a 7-speed DCT gearbox to all 4 wheels. You sprint in 3.7 seconds to 100 km / h and the puff is only out to 335 km / h.

Ferrari has unveiled the first in its history, four-wheel drive supercar
The car is really un-Ferrari. This is the first production car of the mark with this body shape, front-V12 engine, 2 +2 seating and AWD.
The shapes of the Ferrari FF are the work of Pininfarina and are conducted under the direction of chief of dizaynera Ferrari - Flavio Manzoni. The model is built on a completely new chassis with a wide wheelbase, and has four full-size seats and large luggage space.
Drive to all four wheels is entrusted to the system 4RM, which allegedly has a weight of about 50% lower than that of competing systems for four-wheel drive. 4RM sends 100% of engine power to the rear wheels, but if necessary, part of it is redirected to the front axle. The distribution of masses in the ratio of 47/53 in favor of the rear axle.

V12 engine has a volume of 6.25 liters and generates 650 hp at 8000 rpm and 683 Nm at 6000 rpm. Average fuel consumption is within the 15.4 L/100 km and harmful CO2 emissions - 360 g / km.
Acceleration from standstill to 100 km / h. takes only 3.7 seconds and a top speed transfer 330 km / h. The total weight of the car is only 1790 kg and offers a boot volume of 450 liters, which, when folding the rear seats reaches - 800 liters.
Vehicle dimensions are almost identical to those Ferrari 612. The main difference is expressed in height, which in FF has 30 mm more. Ferrari FF also surpasses its predecessor with more force (about 16%), less harmful emissions (around 23%), more dynamic acceleration (0.4 sec), higher maximum speed (about 16 km / h) and a lower overall weight (about 50 kilograms).
The official premiere of "family Ferrari", suitable for long trips, will take place at the Geneva Motor Show.
